Intonation is surprisingly good and markedly better than the very old yamaha. Tone is fairly bright, slightly reedy. Better tone quality than most beginner instruments.

I bought the yamaha ecodear recorder a few months ago and liked it just fine until my dog tested it out as a chew toy

Havent played it a lot and i am still a beginner so i cant say how the really high notes play ive been avoiding going there and most of my music right now tops out at the e an octave above middle c

Probably the weakest is the bottom f but its just a tiny bit thin in tone
