Highlights
Quality
For those that are familiar with the political landscape during this time youll appreciate foremans storytelling and attention to detail
This novel was a flow of eloquent orations clever quotation and intelligent debate daubed with the blood and sweat of the roman legionary
Packaging/appearance
Although titled augustus son of rome the book also brings the figure of marcus agrippa out from the shadows
Competitiveness
Would recommend even at the current price of 2
I found myself wanting to keep reading once finishing a chapter well worth its introductory price

However foremans literary style means readers are in capable hands from the outset this book is certainly more epic than his previous works and is reassuringly replete with influences of great writers and philosophers in history as youd expect if youve read anything else by the same author
