I really like the auto unlock feather that activates when you are about 10 feet from the door. My wife's phone is newer than mine and hers unlocks from the sidewalk in front of the house.

The app interface is nice. On & off features are great. App is easy to use, and i’m also using the keypad.

Easy enough to install. Took less than 15 minutes to install with just a screwdriver. Overall, very satisfied with purchase.

The lock keeps malfunctioning. Looses calibration constantly. Have recalibrated multiple times with no improvement. Also the thing is shockingly loud.

The dooresense magnet is so strong that it is almost impossible to screw the screws in without the screwdriver sticking to it. The auto unlock feature is incredibly unreliable. Sometimes it never works and i have to manually unlock using my phone.

I really feel cheated by the fact that, my first lock didn't last very long and, staying in the august ecosystem isn't worth the money you think you're saving.

August is the perfect example of a heavily vc-backed company that is trying to scale up before they've got their act together. Isn't sending guests emails with codes. It is a mystery to me how this product is even offered for sale.

You have to be willing to put up with tons of bugs in the belief that the core premise could one day be useful. The brackets aren't great and eventually fall off over time. Mounting it is not good. It will be costly, tiresome, and a total nightmare.
