Pros & Cons
Pros
Audioengine p4 speakers work well with any receiver or integrated amp. Paired with a good amp and subwoofer, these things sing. Audioengine's d1 digital audio convertor also serves as a headphone amplifier.
Easy peasy lemon squeezy in the crossover. When i watch a blu-ray movie on my pc with these babies it sounds fantastic.
Lows are deep and well - defined (no fuzz), and the highs are sharp and clear. Midrange is good, but not great. Highs are crystal clear and not overly bright or tinny.
The bass falls off before it attains any real guts, but them's the laws of physics. These let that shine without any exaggerated eq, bass boost, or other enhancements.
