Pros

Bottomline is that i'm pleased with the purchase. High frequencies are so clear and free from distortions, the midrange is very sweet. More current recordings such as all of diana krall's, also sound amazing on high def.

From rock, to classical, to jazz, such as miles davis's kind of blue. Audiophile recordings like those made by david chesky are simply out of this world.

The quality of construction is very high

I just opened these today and i’m so shocked with the sheer beauty and construction

My biggest disappointment with the lcd3 is that i prefer the sound of my focus speakers over the lcd3

But for a fraction of that cost you can get about half way there in terms of the quality of the sound

Competitiveness

I really like them and mainly drive them with a 2year old oppo ha2 dacamp 299

Im no headphone expert but these sound great with my schiit ragnarok amp and schiit gungnir dac

Its like comparing a mazda cx5 with a bmw m5
