Pros & Cons

Pros

This product was used to retrofit a kayak. To remove the dagger foot peg from the rails, there is a plastic button on the seat end of the rail that has to be removed.

Two 2 pack #8 x 1-1/2 inch stainless steel screws for $1. Also, bought loctite pl marine adhesive sealant for $9.

My perception pescador 12. Foot foot rest and pedal work perfectly. Great for rowing and easy to adjust.

Cons

It's too late to return these so i feel like i've been ripped off. These are not universal. It is utterly * that they don't send the proper screws with these.

Quality

These are sturdy and work very well

Was able to install them on a slightly curved surface with minimal issues and the footbraces are stiff and stay inplace

The track screw holes don’t line up to the existing ones and the track is shorter

The foot pegs have only been installed for about a week and kayak only been used twice with the foot pegs

Price

Easy inexpensive way to refurbish an old kayak

Exactley what we needed to fix the kayak for just a few bucks

A replacement was close to the price of this set so i opted to buy these

It was a 180 kayak but small upgrades like this for 20 make it just as good as some of the more expensive ones imo

Shipping

As always you cannot complain about amazons ability to get your order to you in 2 days

Competitiveness

The attwood rail is also shorter than the dagger rail so there is less travel in the foot peg but its still an acceptable replacement

The bolts holding the dagger foot rail are about 1434 narrower than the attwood brand so i drilled the boat to make it fit
