Outside the ir illuminator seemed mostly useless but maybe it was because there was enough moonlight to drown out the ir beam

If there is some light source moon light light from distant street lights or house lights or city light reflected off cloulds the view is like daylight

Loose definition but what looks like pitch black to the naked eye is still illuminated enough to see what is there

Its hard to accidentally flip the ir on and run your batteries down because the knob must be pulled and rotated for on and off

The edges are slightly and i mean slightly distorted and not as good as my older stano gen 2 monocular
