Pros

The keyboard works well given the size of the product overall. Though the keyboard is a little small, it is easy to adjust to.

The display is the perfect portable size. The two combined make for a pleasurable viewing experiencing. It fits into any standard brief case and does not add very much weight.

Eee pc has a great battery life and is easy to transport. Comes with a padded carrying pouch that is padded enough for 'local' travel. Built-in sd card reader makes it easy to give updates on your trip.

Has a large hd (160 lb) partitioned into and drives. Great for portability. Usb ports are in the right places.

Cons

The gizmo works ok, but service is a joke. I'm here now hunting for another netbook that hopefully won't aggravate me constantly.

The mouse * are weird and clicking is sort of an exercise. What's more irritating and somewhat funny is whenever it's about to freeze the speaker makes this terrible static screeching noise.

I contend that the ac adapter is not a free accessory. I believe they have made a business decision to not stand behind these because they have a high failure rate on the ac adapter. It will cost them more in unhappy customers than they gain by cheati... Read More

The price was right and i decided to pull the trigger in 2008 and this has been my go to computer for that entire time

This is an excellent laptop at an incredible price

Not laser fast mind you but fast enough

The full boot time is amazingly fast and to wake up takes only around 7 seconds to resume a couple of apps from sleep

It was easy to set up and use right out of the box

One thing that concerned me in purchasing this is if the web browser would fit into the screen

She was able to use it right out of the box for email travel sites and browsing online
