It is always bittersweet finishing a story arc typically a trilogy that is truly enjoyable because leaving that world is hard but luckily the author has not left this one behind

Perhaps i missed some early plot point but i ahem didnt even realize that sage was black until i read these reviews

Set in the same world as finlaysons prior series the thirteen realms and using many of the same characters this book and hopefully series should be viewed more as a continuation of the thirteen realms otherwise theres going to be some level of confusion
