I prefer a larger base it holds approximately 8oz thus i should have opted for the 12oz base
This feeder along with the nectar guard tips is working great
This feeder is lovely in appearance with the raised floral design and an added brass finial on the bottom
With the hard plastic surrounding this area it doesnt take a lot of pressure either

Made well solid brass fittings and i like the built in ant trap not to mention quality packaging

Otherwise the hummers wont come to the feeder if the bees are all over it

The birds here are usually seen feeding one at a time although i have on occasion seen two birds feeding from same port at the same time or from the same feeder at the same time but not adult males

Minor annoyance one of the two we bought had a slightly tight fit of the hanger where it threads into the base and the other day attempting to unscrew it and refill the feeder the base plastic just broke clean off

Luckily i was able to rig up a new hanger using fishing wire but i dont think this should have broken especially not after only 34 months of use

I absolutely love this feeder but if you have a person in the household who hates reading instructions then forewarn them about this feeder
