This book combines action and suspense. It ends rather sooner than you'd expect, but does so satisfyingly.
This exceptional novel by eoin colfer contains action in every crack and crevice. Artemis is determined to regain his family's fortune in his own way. He has others do his stuff for him!
Holly is a capain in the retrieval unit, who gets kidnapped by artemis and his faithful servantn/ henchman butler. She then tries escaping (with a nice dose of revenge) while her fellow officers try to rescue her. It eventually becomes a full-out war ... Read More

The book is all over the place. There's a whole sequence about how dwarf's can't burp, only fart. There was poop humor.
None of that cleverness extends to creating compelling, empathetic characters. Not one of the characters is likable. Juliette basically converts oxygen into carbon dioxide and is a victim merely because the plot demands it.

The fairy he kidnaps is a leprecon officer police of the fairy underground home which i guess is where the name comes from holly short
