Have also looked into modern gen i packages and have been unimpressed with their resolution and very narrow field of view and poor sight picture beyond 2025 yards
Wont allow you to see into deep shadows or trees but across a field acceptable resolution is easily 5075 yards
After reading reviews i bought an ir illuminator in the 940nm range and this allows a detailed picture out to 200 yards and into woods about 10 feet deep
This has a built in ir illuminator that functions out 710 yards inside
