Cons
Something about possibly a nuke strikes. I'm so confused and it is so irritating. I need it to know what the heck is going on.
It vaguely references things that sound like an interesting story - but you can't find reference to it anywhere.
The childish humor seems to degrade or regress the further into the books in this series you get. This series seems episodic now like a serialized tv show. The banter between joe and skippy is just too juvenile, too long and much to excessive.
I find myself flipping ahead in pages because of the banality of the story being told. It detracts from even trying to enjoy the story. Story follows the rest of his formula even if they spend too much time going off on tangents trying to be funny.

With the ending i cant wait to jump into book 9 although i have heard that the ending for the next book is infuriating many readers
The mix of military science fiction with the banter between the ai makes it a fun and enjoyable read
Nothing better than fighting along with the pirates period
As many are aware the dutchman has seen better days since its capture back on paradise
Packaging/appearance
The story is back on track most of the contrivedness is smoothed out the pace is good and all is well in the skippyverse
Oh well it is a braynarrated novel and one i will not shy away from as we continue to descend down the rabbit hole that is the mbop

He adds a lot to these and while i kind of hope for a movie series i will have a hard time with either joe or skippy sounding like anyone but him

While there can be some rather exciting and interesting plot developments and activities the main complaint is that a lot of the story and the skippy interactions are formulaic

But its still kind of grating especially when the same no dumb dumb happens in quick succession and its just too obvious to ignore the pattern
