Pros & Cons
Cons
Big issue with these is that there is no cushion, the heel part is as hard as a rock, and can't find any type of comfort. Very uncomfortable, and expensive. Serves no purpose.
Highlights
Quality
These work just fine and are in fact “custom” by the molding process which is simple fast and easy
These were very easy to mold and it worked very well
After 9 months of various rehab it still was not pain free
For 2 months i was hobbling after sports and in pain all of the time felt like a fracture plus tendonitis
Price
I spent 80 for two pairs and that translates to a savings of approximately 400 to 700 compared to podiatrist orthotics
All for a small portion of the cost
They cost alot and often are not covered by insurance
Shipping
Minutes after i submitted my return exchange i received an email stating the replacement was to be delivered the next day
Competitiveness
Was worried that these were no longer available but am happy that powerstep is still making these

That led me down the path to a custom orthotic but after years of use i wasnt ready to pay the premium to have a new custom one made

I came across these moldable inserts and thought id give these a try first

The added perk is that i get 2 inserts for less than the cost of 1 custom orthotic

I do recommend removing the inserts from your shoe and measuring them up to the orthotic before heating and molding because the sizing between the orthotic and your shoes may differ
