Interestingly apple officially say that the maximum memory per slot is 4gb therefore a maximum memory of 8gb

Also if you go to kingstons website and check for the compatibility it will say this memory module is not compatible with macbook pro early 2011 i am guessing it is because 2011 mac uses 1333mhz ddr3 spec
