Hood struts did not work at all so we ordered these based on reviews

I purchased the gas lifts for my sons 2005 ford explorer because the hood would no longer stay up on its own

The only thing i would say is to be careful to lift but not remove the clip

If removed the clip is still usable but doesnt fit quite as tight as it would if you only lift it then snap it back into place
