Pros
Fikter is slightly loud but way quieter than my failing aquaclear. The new one has an improved flow rate and is also quieter. Quiet, durable. Has great water return & very quiet.
I am a wanna be european hobbyist that will spend for quality if i am convinced. Thank you aqueon for keeping the hobby real for this older hobbyist. First one was purchased at a small pet store and lasted for about 8 years.

I have multiple tanks running with hang on the back filters and this thing is the noisiest most annoying filter. I need a better filter that lasts before the fish die. It's dead as of sept. The water is cloudy.
The bottom half of the impeller container would separate and cause problems. The impeller shaft was out of balance, causing the hole in the plastic housing to become oblonged. The plastic looks flimsy, not as good as the older one.
There is a small piece that falls out with cleaning that attaches to the spinning piece. Six 9 years old are quieter than this even when hopped up on sugar.

The filter is very quiet and runs flawlessly and cleans well but the led filter indicator does not function and it has poor suction for the initial startup or if the tank level drops low or the power shuts off
