Pros

Works much better than a similar wattage pond deicer. I currently have the dial set to about 84 and my thermometer reads the water at a constant 80 degrees. Current water temp is 82f and the heater will be set at 82f.

Red light on heater tells you when it is heating. I wish the heat on indicator was brighter. Heats gently, comes on when needed, but doesn't cycle on and off constantly.



Cons

Fail so far, they just blink green and red or they just stop working. Very possible it was broken in shipment/handling. They have 0 ethics and will hurt all their customers for a little extra cash.

Setting it before only works if it heats to whatever temp you *think* it is at, but they are never right. Didn't heat the water up at all right from being plugged in and overnight. My tank stays at 80 degrees but the heater is past the ninety mark.

    I have fancy guppies out there and while i do not know if they survived since i cant see in the pond very well with it covered like this the water is never ice cold even on extremely cold nights

    It wasnt easy to find an adjustable heater which would fit in a nano tank

    One smaller adjustable unit that i got for it was erratically inaccurate in the temperature it maintained or didnt and completely failed to function in 31 days
