Pros

It’s controlled using an apex controller and this units controller is for backup. Temp is accurate to thermometer on front of tank. Easy to set up. No glass to break is also a huge safety factor.

I'm lucky my livestock (especially expensive fish, my starfish, shrimp and anemones) are still alive. Running this on my 55 gallon for about 2 months now, works as advertised. Free flowing currents when i do major water changes!

Cons

I have a forza canister filter and it also quit working. Pieces fell out in broken chunks - it looks like disintegrated glass. The picture is the top of the heater and the crud that fell out when i lifted up the rubber.
