Pros

I keep my tanks at about 76-78 degrees fahrenheit.

Perfect size for a 5 gallon tank. I have it setup in a 5g tank. Two for my 2 five gallon aquariums and 1 for my 3 gallon tank. We have 5 fish tanks setup and aquatop is out preferred brand.

The heaters work wonderfully in my aquarium.

It works well, the suction cups keep the heater attached to the glass. We now own 3 heaters with controls and it is marvelous!

Cons

No bueno. Neither one of them work properly. With it being just over 6 months i know amazon nor the company will do nothing to compensate my loss.

This heater is garbage. My biggest issue is that the thermostat is awful. It heats the aquarium to about 82, and doesn't even kick off when i turn the temp all the way down.

Also i just stand it vertically with the plastic top out of water just to insure no water leaks in

I received the product on time and it works fine

But that goes with the territory of a smaller tank therefore leaving me with giving it a strong four star rating

Competitiveness

It feels much more sturdy than this aquatop but was marginally more costly

But over all a good heater for the price

I use the 450w larger version of this in my 125g so when i setup a seperate 10g tank i wanted the dependability of the aquatop heaters
