Aquapel is a terrific product. I'm so glad that sears sells it online. It works as well as rain-x, but lasts much longer.
Aquapel not only repels better, but it lasts. Typically lasts 6-8 mos b4 needing to re-apply.
Use dawn dishwashing detergent and then windex, to make sure that the windshield is clean. Apply to windhield just before a rain. Buff it with a paper towel afterwards to remove any streaks.

This product works as well as rainx but lasts much longer
The product works better when you are moving the wind actually pushes the water off your windshield
Then i dont have to drive around with the streaks left because i dont wipe them off

Dont get me wrong it does take slot of elbow grease to buff it into the glass and you must clean the windshield spotless

For some reason our window wipers never seem to really clear up the windshield when its raining

Perhaps were not replacing our window wipers often enough but still the clarity in the windshield when using the wipers in a storm was never really good after the new blades were broken in

I think rainx sheets rain off my windshield a bit more effectively than aquapel during the first few days to a week after application but then diminishes after that aquapel fully functions about half a year
