Product was described as usable for plastic drain pans. Mine has a 7/8 inch lip and it did not fit over it. Switch will trip (open) when the water in the drain pan reaches a depth of 0.

For some reason the old one stopped working and cut off power to unit

Of note is that i saw this or very similar for a huge range of price anywhere from 11 to 68 bucks
