Product is meant to replace the extension tube for the hob filter. Works perfectly and now my pre-filter sponge and intake are only 2. Self explanatory item, works great with my hang on back aquaclear filter.

Cons

I was hoping this would be long enough for my vertical 10 gallon tank to run continuously during a 50% water change.
