Pros

Easy to install with very little fiddling around. Gives you instant gratification of soft water. When i replace the filter i'll see if it normalizes again.

The whole-house water softener is set pretty high (very soft) and helps remove red stain and some but not all of the odor. We have well water with a high level of dissolved solids and it removes the hardness.

Cons

It's so pervasive there’s a video out there on how to troubleshoot this problem. This product is not usable anymore as it resulted in leaks after reinstalling.

Our local tap water is hard and too high in chlorine, but my last culligan filter never had this much trouble. Our local water isn't chloramine so it's not that. This product flakes the chrome paint of its interior everywhere!

Was easy to install, but seems pointless. That’s why they aren’t nsf certified. This is not worth the hassle!
