Pros

All i have to do is glace up to see if the water level is low. Easy to refill. Sometimes the ends break, but i generally try to keep using it, and it seems ok. I tend to shake out the clump, and that seems to be fine.
These are the smaller version and they are the perfect size for my plants. They work great on small potted plants. I used them for my herbs and my violets, the pots are about 3-4 tall and they work great for them!
Easy to put into planters. Plants are still alive and the soil is moist. They need to be refilled often if the plants use a lot of water.
Cons
Granted, i live in the south and the afternoons are exceptionally hot. One set is completely useless as the opening is too narrow.
