These filters are for hepa type air purifiers. Aprilaire whole house filter systems are great and replacing the filter every 6 months is a good practice to have. This is the way to go with an aprilaire electronic air cleaner.

Cons

Aprilaire filter was torn inside the shipping box. This makes me wonder how closely the hvac techs who install these products are inspecting the filters. Any opening in your furnace filter completely defeats the purpose of this filtration system.
