Each filter is not in a box itself, and because the filter is compressed a bit when packaged, some damage can occur as shipped. They represent one item but ship something very different and inferior.

Ended up installing them in september since my 201 filters only had a couple months on them

The plastic frame and more imporantly the clips on each end of the combs were breaking so it was getting very difficult to install the old filters properly and impossible to seal everything perfectly

In other words it is more 3 dimensional at the microscopic or particle size level

The metal frame stays in so you just buy that once

The replacement filters slide in and out

And do not try to put the new filters in the old plastic frame recycle it or store it somewhere until you have tried these filters out for a year
