    Braided cables seem to be becoming the standard and from previous experience with plastic or rubber coated cables i think the reason is that the plastic or rubber coated ones have a relatively short life in that the internal wiring wears over time eventually fracturing and rendering the lead useless

    Remember some devices like our car are more finicky about some cables and randomly claims youve connected a noncertified phone or that it is drawing too much power that the port cannot deliver enough power

    Works fine with apple products however the cable at the lightning connector end has started to fray after 4 months of use

    Edit have since been sent a replacement which did not work then got an replacement for that one
