Pros

Sound is a little shallow at first, but with some placement tweaks, it’s excellent. Good build quality.

The critical aspect of this mic is the pin drop clarity and warmth to this mic. Pop sensitivity is like most medium to large diaphragm mics, so some sort of screen is useful for close mic-ing.

Cons

Don't get me wrong, i understand the appeal of lightweight and small, but the technology just hasn't reached the point where such a small mic can produce decent results. Will be contacting apogee. This is immensely impractical.

I know apogee wants to be 34green34 and not use unnecessary packaging but really guys you need to have a tamperevident seal on the box

11 package does not come 34factory sealed34 so you wont know if it was opened — weird

Competitiveness

I have a 34deep movie trailer34 voice and this mic is great for that comparable to my akg or schoeps

I did some research and bought the apogee mic and combining it with a soundblaster dacheadphone amp it made a huge difference

Also the price is considerably expensive compared to other studio microphones

The difference in price for a mic is the company name maybe a few tweaks here and there
