After i mounted them as per the included instructions i found that that mounting position was for slowselfopening but on closing would still slam on fingers

I installed these on a wooden trunk i made out of torn down pallets so the lid is pretty darn close if not over the 22

The friction supports were slow close with a slam at the end so i returned them and replaced them with these gas pistons

It would still hurt if your hand was in the way of the lid closing but it wouldnt cause too much damage
