The instructions come on cd. Hard to miss that. That solves the problem. An it person who does this all day will not be troubled in the least. No issues, no complaint.
Smart connect feature is great if you need to receive notifications when you lose power. Sends me email when there are power disruptions. Saves us from one power outage. Ecobee thermostats, baf haiku fans, liftmaster door openers etc.
Many reviews criticize the apc branded replacement batteries for failing prematurely. Here' an unorthodox but effective way to mitigate the problem of * battery failure. Very well reputed maintenance-free agm batteries.

Apc is, imo, dishonest, or at least deceptive. They feel no obligation to be conscientious.

It seems like all ups manufacturers cheap out on components so its really hard to find a good quality one that will last

I just removed the internal battery pack by disconnecting the gray 50amp anderson connector
I used to be a big fan of cyberpower ups but they all eventually develop a problem where the ups gives an error and the whole thing is dead

This runs my office and poe phone system and file back up servers and its only running about maybe about a quarter of its capacity with a hour and 40 min of run time during an outage

As one example the opening salvo for the little screen in the front is a menu asking you to pick a language which is reasonable but heaven forbid you cant clearly see and interpret the symbols on the four buttons underneath and mistakenly select a language in which you are not fluent as a result

Until you figure out how to navigate the notsointuitive menus in that foreign language to get it back to yours

Or for that matter what group 1 means on the back of the unit basically half the power ports are surrounded by a big green border that says group 1 on it whereas the others are not

Alas youd be wrong instead group 1 is actually the secondary or controlled group and the plain looking one is the one you want to stick your main stuff into
