Pros & Cons

Pros

I was more than pleasantly surprised when i opened the package. The unit is extremely well built with sturdy steel and thick plastic construction. Shipping from the distributor was very prompt.

It works great! Been using it all day, absolutely love it. It is hands down better than any other i have used in labs at college or at work. Overall, works well.

This is a reputable copy of the widely popular hakko style iron. Also comes with the sponge bracket, and spool holder that all mount onto the iron holder itself. The included holder does work, it goes in at a angle and sets very securely.

This soldering station seems to be an excellent value. It's actually easier to learn how to solder if you get a real solder station like this, rather than a pencil or gun type iron.

This is a great station for a beginner. The sponge is thin, but who really cares at this price point. The single downside is that it comes with a sponge tray, because i always liked to used brass wool tip cleaners to lessen oxidation.

Cons

The the handle becomes too hot to handle after using for some time. This is just embarrassing for the company. Had better luck with standard 30w hardware store iron.
