Not only is the quality control on the advertised diameter lacking, but there was a slight bow along the long axis of the shank that further precludes your ability to fit-match a perfect drill hole. Was not able to drill a hole with normal drill bits.... Read More

Make sure you install with the offset bracket slots up for maximum support
That came in handy for countersinking the brackets flat piece into the shelf so it was flush with the wall
—one should almost never use drywall anchors included with any product
I busted a huge hole in my drywall in the very beginning thanks to ke trying to use the crap that comes with the pegs

Once i put some serious anchors in the pegs straightened out and are holding a 2x6 shelf with ease

Unfortunately the anchors provided did not work and had to buy other anchors fairly large because the holes for the provided anchors were quite large

I’m not deducting for the anchors because it’s a fair price without them—and these should be screwed into studs with heavy duty 10 construction structural screws anyway

I also didn’t deduct for the shelves not fitting flush because all floating shelf brackets strong enough to bear weight require chiseling out indentations around each hole to accommodate the mounting plate
