The velcro used by the makers is notoriously weak psi holding power varies

The risk now assuming the velcro is done properly to allow for additional tightening the chin straps with ear cutouts not particular to this item the cutout will eventually not be where the ear is located

The straps have approximately 2 of hook material at the end of each strap and the rest of the strap is made with the loop material

It has hoes for the ears so it does tend to pull on the backs of the am ears which is what i was trying to avoid

While amazon did return my money as we proved it was not the same item as pictured we did decide to try it since we had it in hand

The seam on the chin left marks on my face as did the strap across my lower face
