Pros

Overall, extremely pleased. My gates look and work perfectly. This kit is actually better than one that i recently purchased at one of the big box hardware stores.

Square ends are important to your success of a gate not sagging. Fitting with rough/rustic cedar is tricky because slightly larger than sanded/finished lumber. It is a great brace for larger gates that will help your wood not to warp and droop.

Kit is easy to install and built to last. Seems sturdy. Sturdy kit. Easy to put together, pretty much fool proof.

The gate isn't as heavy weighing on the brackets. This probably weighs double, comes complete with everything needed and requires a lot less hassle. Only complaint is that the hinge screws were a bit short, likely would have worked, but replaced with ... Read More

Im very impressed with this product i imagine it will last longer than the wood does on my gate

With the predrilling i used my impact driver and had no problem with the screw heads shearing off

This kit was really easy and fast to put together

Packaging/appearance

I ended up using some 8 x 312 screws that i had on the outside holes of the hinges to ensure that they would hold

My husband broke down the original door and rebuilt it using this kit

Competitiveness

I will be buying these again for my toher gates

Only time will tell and i added a 4inch wheel gate to each to aid for sagging

Fairly simple if you can cut equal lengths of 2x4s
