Pros
It just does the hard work for you, chemically. This creosote remover/prevention product really works. Fast product shipment as well.
Mainly on the magicheat tubes and the last few inches at top of the flue. The gallon jug lasts me through about half the heating season so it's not as economical a treatment as i'd like.
Cons

It turned all of the hard melted creosote to ash so we could sweep

I have been spaying it onto a low fire each time i use the wood burner and it seems to be preventing any noteable creosote buildup
Its still a timeconsuming job but the creosote build up in the stovepipe bends is minimized and easier to remove
I had the chimney cleaned by professionals and they said the chimney wasvery clean

We have a fireplace used mostly for atmosphere burning about a cord of wood a winter

He instructed that it should be sprayed on the wood and interior of the fireplace after the fire has burned for a while and there are glowing coals since it needs heat to activate it
