    Seems there was a slightly larger flare on the replacement mast that did not allow me to insert it into the car’s antenna base fully

    When the antenna broke i jerked it off which broke the nylon track that raises and lowers the antenna

    I had to remove the motor assembly and open it up to retrieve the broken piece

    What you need to do is simply turn the radio on and as it attempts to raise the antenna it will feed the complete track out of the unit

    Pay attention to the direction of the teeth as you remove it remove the top nut and keeper sleeve then simply turn the radio on and back off

    The motor will pull the new track in as it lowers the antenna
