As i found recently when a smoke detector kept beeping indication the battery was low although i did also check with a new battery and it still beeped

The only downside is that the contacts that touch the battery arent quite in the right place so if you put the battery where it wants to go it doesnt make contact

The only thing that i can criticise this device for it that the sensor probe cradle doesnt fit the probe very well
