In other words if you leave the tripod inside the grip with a camera fitted the whole assembly will sink

Have not used the tripod or tested the waterproof inner cavity with something but it appeared to be dry inside afterwards

Looking at the design of the o ring seal it should be good down to scuba diving depths but i wont be checking that

Bought this for my daughter to use on holidays you need to unscrew the bottom orange part and tripod legs are inside
