There are no directions that come with this but its a laser so dont worry about it

If you are holding the laser turn it counterclockwise to make the pattern change and turn it clockwise to remove it and just have the regular laser

After about 20 min it said it was charged green so i touched the strip before turning it off and it went red again so it kept charging this time until the battery was full
