Tube stays fresh in frig for months. It stores conveniently in the fridge after opening. This allows me to squeeze out just a dollop and refrigerate the rest.

It isnt designed like a toothpaste tube the metal is stiff and can crack forcing paste out onto ones hand rather than into the pot

I am not a vegan but i do not eat cheese and most packaged pesto has cheese in it
