This new version is made of metal or at least not the black plastic which goes all gooey when the chemicals separate and move to the surface

The old version has a removable lid which doubles as a tray for items that dont fit on the scale

The accuracy seems to be good but the down side is that the body is plastic and made in china therefore the quality is not up to my expectation anyway the price is only 20
