It's from 1996 before even the ryzen was available, you could install an athlon. No need to overclock or tweak fiddly 3600 ram.
Highlights
Quality
Ddr4 3200 is fine no need to overclock or tweak fiddly 3600 ram
This is the lower power version on the game changing ryzen 7 5800x3d
Its from 1996 before even the ryzen was available you could install an athlon
It adds a huge amount of cpu cache which has a dramatic effect on the rate games update the screen frames per second or fps
Competitiveness
Ive only tested a few games but compared to my r5 3600 im getting around 2060 more fps with the r7 5700x3d
If you have the money then its better to go am5 but if you want very good performance for your money then this 5700x3d is probably it

It also means you dont need super expensive ram

This is weird because 5800x without the cache is a faster cpu as is the 5900x but the x3d version beats them

There is a premium for the x3d process or but this new 5700x3d which runs slightly slower is quite a bit cheaper

Right now its cheap enough to make building a brand new am4 system make sense

Its a no brainer to stick the x3d into an existing am4 system but its been a bit of a tossup whether to build a new am4 or go brand new am5
