Pros
Some people warn of bricking it, but i didn't have that problem. The response time to notify me and connect is much quicker than my last video, doorbell. The amcrest app provides control of all of the setup options that is easy-to-use.
Amcrest ad110 doorbell works with existing wired and digital chimes. Ringing the indoor chime sends a notification to the user's phone. The motion detection sends notifications to my phone instantly.
All you need is a screwdriver. The masonry drill bit is included in the kit. Once fully installed, it just works reliably.
Since updating my 2016 iphone se to ios 5. All seems to be working well with live view. The doorbell app works well though too.
Cons
Best hardware in the world is worthless if the software does not work. It's impossible to check out each of them every day so it's practically useless. Perhaps the subscription service does a better job?
Doorbell stops recording when someone is standing on the porch for longer than 30 seconds. It is so sensitive that a small shadow or an insect will trigger the alarm.
I work in it, the camera is defective and internal wifi does not work. Great for people who enjoy repeatedly smashing their face into a wall.
The app has never been updated. It is likely a power issue with the doorbell transformer. When it reconnects, the app continually asks to join local network.

It connected really quickly and works great with the amcrest smart home app
Scanning the qr code with the app didnt work so i had to enter the serial number manually
In short you need the amcrest smart home app to set this up but this app does not work with the security cameras
Competitiveness
I already have multiple amcrest cameras around my home so getting this was not a hard decision
You can use the amcrest apps such as smart home which integrates with other amcrest cameras
It wouldnt work on my phone my wifes phone or my older phone to get connected
Another shortcoming of this and apparently most amcrest ip cameras is that it its dhcp only

I ordered a replacement and it didnt work either different issue it just kept disconnecting wifi
