I next set it to video and the video shown is the result of pointing it at the bird bath as i knew there would be movement there

It is very sensitive to triggering so make sure that it is not pointing at a plant where the leaves blow in the wind it happened to me the first time i tried it

It is claimed waterproof to ip54 which is protected against splash water from any direction

There is internal memory but i am not sure how much as it does not say in the instruction book and although there is a mini usb socket i could not see anything from my laptop which is probably more to do with windows 10 than the camerait is possible to update the firmware so this may be overcome in the future

All the controls and sockets are at the bottom under a flap and when in position you need to move the switch from test where you can programme it to on you need to have it in the test position even if you have programmed it and turned it on before you mount it as it is nice to be able to use the display screen to see where it is pointing

When i did this the battery holder fell out the tripod bush on the bottom is also a good idea but it gives the same problems as it is attached to the hatch

I also could not see the labelling on the switch to determine which way was on or off test is in the middle if it is mounted 3ft off the ground you have to be on your hands and knees and look up if it was positioned like mine straight into the sun

If only there had been a little hatch on the side to cover the switch it would have been superb
