Pros
This cable works as announced, providing 1920x1080 resolution (max), with no interruption or lags. We use the hdmi for game console so this adapter connects the new video card to our monitor perfectly.
Cons
It only converts from displayport to dvi. Do not work with the plugable usb 3.
Just gonna toss it out. Too bad the benfei cable is too flaky to work. Can't handle spreadsheets with streaky lines jumping around.
Sudden, catastrophic failure at the end of october. About 1 in 10 is defective. All mfgs have the occasional problem and ship a defect.

Packaging/appearance
If you want fancy packaging and instructions buy elsewhere
If you know what you need and dont care about packaging buy this
I suspect that amazon orders these by the case and they repackage them
Competitiveness
Fortunately for me i needed dvi to dp on a 60hz monitor so the cable was perfect for that
Once again the amazonbasics brand has a really good product at a good price that actually works really well
Be sure you know this before buying the cable as it isnt immediately obvious otherwise that it will not support 144hz monitors

This is a single direction displayport to dvi cable
