Probably why they are hard as a rock. I much prefer the pet botanics mini rewards for training as they are the perfect size and bacon. They are too hard for small breeds.

Amazon refunded me for this product. It is an okay product to get if you want to get something that will function and is cheap, but they do have problems with drying out.
