The battery pack can be unplugged and uses velcro to mount it to the wall. I use it as a pantry light as my pantry is deep and completely dark. If you have a closet and no outlet near by, this is a great solution.

The lighting is not harsh and illuminates the spaces due to the 3 strands. Great brightness does well in our closet.

The adhesive tape literally * and was stuck to the paper back. The strip is very short, so the pic lining a stairs is bogus. The 3m paper peels off super easily.

Every couple of days after putting in new batteries and the lights get very dim. Buy another brand and spend the extra 2 bucks for another version. They only last about a week. Should not have to replace brand new batteries so quickly.
