One of them bad habits was concerning the way that i have been holding the guitar with my left hand that was conducive to tension pain which contributed to my hand becoming numb and tingly

Once he began to explain how to appropriately hold the guitar without tension it made me question if that was the reason that i was having this issue

Good book but doesnt mention you need to be very quick with left hand speed to even come close to playing the recorded examples
