Pros
If you don't need surround sound, this is a good choice. These speakers pack a surprising punch. These are definitely better than the speakers that came with my pc.
Cons
Altec lansing 2100 has no headphone jack. The remote is useless. My last gripe is with the design of the speakers.

These are very small speakers and will not 34fill34 up a large room or project all ranges over a large distance
These sound much worse both in terms of imaging and the level of distortion at higher volume levels

The frequency response is nearly even all the way low to high after only a few minutes adjusting the sub level small knob on the back and the volume can go from lower than i need to nearly as high as ive ever wanted

The size is unbeatable the two tweeters have such a small footprint that can fit nearly anywhere and the sub is narrow enough that it can be unobtrusively stashed behind or between things where a typical sub wouldnt fit
